MyNoWriMo

So it's February and I discover in my diary that today is the day I planned to begin MyNoWriMo.

After completing NaNoWriMo a few times I concluded that November is a ridiculous time of year to attempt it, for me at least. It's my busiest period with birthdays and Christmas. But I do like the challenge so decided to do my own thing, hence MyNoWriMo.

For the month of February I am setting myself the target of 25,000 words on my work in progress i.e. the sequel to my first novel, This Time Next Year. I did consider making a start on the next one (see below) but came to the conclusion that I would never get either finished if I try that, so the sequel it is.

I know the target for NaNoWriMo is 50,000 words but this is my thing so I can make my own rules. I do hope to write a little each day though, which will be an achievement if I manage it as I've not touched my manuscript for maybe two weeks.
